For the last month or so, we have been adjusting to "regular" life. This means that we are living day to day, and it is becoming normal. Here's what has been happening lately....
- All the Eis is gone :( Most of the Italian EisCafes (specifically, the only one we go to) closed up for the winter. We will have to wait until March to eat SpaghettiEis with our favorite Italians.
- Interviews, Training, and Employment. We both got jobs at an English school in town, and we have an interview for another school coming up this week.
- The Beginning of School for Tim. Tim found good classes, and is all set up for a successful semester.
- The Discovery of American TV online (...albeit, illegal American TV online). Let's just say some America's Funniest Home Videos helps the homesickness. or helps feed it, at least.
- Drastic Temperature Drops. From about 80 F to 40 F overnight. Literally. We are now discussing the need to winter shoes and jackets.
- Winter Illnesses and Recoveries. We both got sick, and tried to treat our illnesses with German "medicine," which seems to have main ingredients of (1) cinnamon, (2) peppermint, and (3) honey. We eventually got better, but you can't help but wonder what would have happened if it was serious..
- Running. We had been running several times a week, but when we got sick we took a break. We are back now, but it's so cold outside!!
New duvet covers and a fitted sheet! A french press for REAL coffee! Tim's new hat. Big coffee mugs, a running ninja mask and baskets for organizing our shelves! Also, not pictured - a veggie slicer and a cassarole dish, a running ear warmer for me, and some dice :) We also discovered a second-hand store and a comic book store (where they have Warhammer games).

A running ear warmer? Silly Bekah. Feet and noses are the only ones that do that.
